abgetaucht — Apr 2008

The Museum of Natural History Berlin presents the special exhibition „abgetaucht” in its new temporary exhibits hall as their contribution to the International Year of the Reef 2008.

Playing on the title (“dived”, “immersed” or “submerged”) we developed two artistic installations. A wave swashing from the temporary into the permanent exhibition space welcomes you to dive in, adding a sensation of seaside to the museum halls. With light patterns glazing a grand coral-reef, the visitor immerses into the vast underwater world with shadows of sharks floating by occasionally.

Additionally to the installations we created numerous videos, animations and infographics for the existing display-systems.
